Questions

Is the Marketplace Image Checker free?+

Yes. The checker runs in your browser with no signup, credits or paywall. GenImagePro CTAs only appear when a visual problem cannot be fixed reliably with local resize, crop or compression.

Are my product images uploaded to GenImagePro?+

No. Analysis and conversion happen locally in your browser. Original files are not uploaded, stored or used to train AI models.

Which marketplaces are supported?+

At launch we check Amazon, Etsy, Shopify, eBay, Walmart Marketplace, TikTok Shop and Google Merchant Center. You can compare one image against several platforms at once.

Why do I need to choose main vs additional image?+

Amazon, Walmart, TikTok Shop and Etsy treat the first or main image differently from gallery images. White-background and presentation rules should not be applied to lifestyle or secondary shots.

What can the tool check automatically?+

It measures dimensions, aspect ratio, file size, format, megapixels, orientation, transparency, approximate white-background coverage, edge color and whether the file is animated. Blur, text overlays and prohibited content stay as manual checks in version one.

Can I fix issues without leaving the page?+

Yes. You can resize, crop, add padding, convert formats, compress, flatten transparency and export a separate optimized file for each selected marketplace as a ZIP.

Does a pass mean my listing complies with every policy?+

No. A pass means measurable technical rules succeeded. Always complete the manual policy checklist for text, props, accuracy and category rules before publishing.

How often are marketplace rules updated?+

Each rule stores a source, region, image role and last-reviewed date. We update the rule set when official marketplace guidance changes.

Image dimensions are too small+

Many marketplaces reject or poorly display images below their minimum pixel size. Resize upward only if the source has enough detail, or recreate the photo at a higher resolution.

The product is cropped in thumbnails+

Square crops and tight marketplace frames can clip edges. Add padding or recompose so the product sits safely inside the thumbnail safe area.

File size is too large+

Upload limits vary by platform. Compress locally or convert to JPEG/WebP while keeping quality high enough for zoom.

Main-image background is not pure white+

Amazon, Walmart and similar marketplaces often require a seamless white background on the main image. Lifestyle shots belong in secondary slots.

Your image passes technically—but does it look professional?
